So thrilled to have 3 of my photographs included in Kings County Distillery's new book, Guide to Urban Moonshining, published by Abrams. It is a truly beautiful book written by founders Colin Spoelman and David Haskell, about how to make and drink whiskey, its history and some cocktails and recipes as well.
I have started to think about laying out my Brooklyn book and have settled on this wrap around jacket. I still have some more shooting to do but I think it will help me to see it as an object and work out its flow. Then I can look for a publisher.
Here are some of my favorites from a story I shot in June for Organic Gardening Magazine about Teacher Meredith Hill and her Columbia Secondary School Garden Composting Program. The full story is slotted for sometime in 2014.
I am happy to say that 69 photographs I shot during my 2012 - 2013 residency at The Brooklyn Navy Yard have been accepted into The Brooklyn Navy Yard Archives. I will miss my time at The Yard and all the great people I got a chance to meet and work with everyday and am thankful for the opportunity to create this body of work. Cool to think this work could live on, beyond me, as part of this historical archive.
