FotoWeekDC, Guate Photo and Recent Work

I am honored to have work exhibited at two Photo Festivals this year. Foto DC awarded me (Pin-up girls) with an Honorable Mention in their FotoWeekDC 2012 International Awards Competition, which will be part of an exhibit at FotoWeekCentral. FotoWeekDC runs from November 9 -18, 2012 and will be a massive celebration of photography across The District of Columbia and more.

I was also very honored to be included as part of the [DOT] COM exhibit at the Guate Photo Festival in Guatemala, in an effort to bring online media to the Gallery. Two photographs from my Brooklyn series will be part of Looking at Ourselves: Portraits Featured on Lenscratch a projected exhibition curated by the great and influential Aline Smithson of the Photography blogzine Lenscratch.

I continue to work on projects at The Brooklyn Navy Yard as part of my residency through the Visiting Artist Program at BLDG 92. I have been concentrating on the Green aspect of The Yard as well as the food artisans and businesses within it's industrial walls.

Presently I am working on my next blog post for Eating Brooklyn, my food photography blog, where I spent the day with Annie Novak and the rest of the crew at Eagle Street Rooftop Farm in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, harvesting their well grown hot peppers and then watching them make their Hot Sauces and Chile Salt which they sell at the farm.
