Feb/March Issue / Organic Gardening Magazine

Composting is awesome photographs by Valery Rizzo, Cover photography, Robert Peacock, Michael Harlen Turkell, Sonya Revell, Andrea Mozo and Patrick Montero.

Last year I had the opportunity to work with Organic Gardening Magazine, along with writer Nancy Matsumoto, on a composting story about Columbia Secondary School teacher Meredith Hill and her students from their school garden in Harlem. We also went out to Governor's Island where the students helped raise the chickens as part of the Earth Matter Composting Farm they have there. If you missed it there are some other photos from the shoot here.
